HOLKO, Mary (nee Large)
January 13, 1955 - March 23, 2017
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Princess Margaret Hospital. Survived by her adoring and devoted husband of 38 years Stan, her children Stan Jr. (wife Stephanie), Jenna Broadley (husband Peter), Justin (wife Kaitlyn), Erin and Adrian, her siblings Jim (wife Lynda), Cathy, Carol, Ken (wife Denise), Keith (wife Lisa) and Lenore. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Mary and brothers Stan and Wally. Mary was a dedicated grandma to Nicholas, Aleksa, Luke, Zofia and Jacob. She will also be greatly missed by her brothers-in-law John Holko and Andrew Holko (wife Jacquie), many nieces, nephews, and friends and family. Mary was born and raised in Burlington and spent her life as a caregiver to many within the city. She was a compassionate and dedicated volunteer in both her church and children's school communities. Mary enjoyed travelling and living life to the fullest. Visitation to be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 3-5 and 6-8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
