Obituary for Debbie "D Mac" McNamara

Surrounded by her family, Debbie passed away peacefully at the McNally House Hospice on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the age of 59. Loving wife of John Lawrie and mother of Kristen Petti-Climie (Kevin) and Michael Lawrie (Chiharu). Cherished grandmother of Mackenzie, Hanako and Liam. Beloved sister of Bill (Billie), Karen Greco (Tom), Pat Filbert (Carl), Cheryl Smith (Doug), Bobby (Rikki-Ann), Maureen Fluellon (Mark), Brenda Jenkins (Bob) and the late Freddy. Loved also by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Debbie worked 40 years at Royal Sun Alliance and had just retired in December 2016. Special thanks to McNally House Hospice for their sincere care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
