Obituary for Leonard Joseph "The Lennie" Simmons

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Leonard at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the age of 56. Loved father of Krista Concepcion (Albert), Sheri Simmons, and Keith Simmons (Aunna Berkenderf). Cherished grandpa of Lillian, Hayley, Eric, Hannah, Kayleigh and Devin. Beloved brother of Lorraine Catto (Don), Charlie (Donna), Wendy Vine (Mike), Cliff (Doreen), and Irene Kelly. Missed also by his bestie Johanne. Predeceased by his brothers Billy (survived by Eleanor) and Danny (Diane). As per Leonard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit, 316 Beach Boulevard, Hamilton Beach Strip on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. In honour of our dad we are hosting this event as a potluck, if you would like to bring a dish it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for joining us to celebrate the life of "The Lennie". If desired, donations in memory of Len to the St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton - Respiratory Rehabilitation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
