Condolence: Mrs. Fernick, Doug, Debbie, and extended family, my sincere condolences on the sudden passing of Walter. Fondly remembered as a hard working neighboring farmer, trucker, and businessman, he will always hold a special place in my memories for our many long chats, either in the field, in the lineup delivering to a winery, at a truckstop, or the Legion, where we solved the problems of the world and the government, and sometimes caused a few as well. I always enjoyed our visits on many a Christmas Eve to your home, where we enjoyed great hospitality and many laughs. I am also thankful that I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with him at his farm in late October, where we had a great chat about life as it was, and is, and I managed to help him out with a project he was looking to finish. May he rest well, in peace, and many great memories help guide you as you celebrate the life of a good man.

Condolence: To Debbie, Doug and Vera: I am so sorry for your loss. I still remember Walt as a fun and boisterous character who constantly offered me drinks when I was a teenager. He was full of life and always was up for a great conversation. He was so proud of his kids and their accomplishments.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
