Obituary for Helen Grunys (Kozikis)

Peacefully at Orchard Terrace Care Centre, on Friday, February 24, 2017, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Kazimeras (Kaz) (2012). Helen was a loving mother to Donna Lamb of Stoney Creek (husband David) and Al Grunys of Thunder Bay (wife Hilke). Cherished Oma of Sean (Melanie), Christopher, Adam (Lisa) and Alexis (Jarret) and great-grandmother of Ashleigh, Kyle, Jarred, Ethan, Maya, Sage, Kayla, Connor, Ryder and Callie. Dear sister of John Kozikis and Lydia Kalonka (Nick). Helen was born in Jurberkas, Lithuania in 1925. In 1947 the family moved to Canada to build a better life. She will be missed by many relatives and friends in Canada and Lithuania. Special thanks to Helen's many friends and staff at Orchard Terrace for your love and kindness. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home followed by interment St. John's Lithuanian Cemetery, 2185 Stavebank Road, Mississauga, L5C 1T3. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Grimsby Benevolent Fund.
