Condolences

Condolence From: Karen & Chica (St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program)
Condolence: I just found out about Rita's passing and was very saddened. We visit weekly where Rita lived. As we came through the doors, for the past two years, Rita was always the first person that greeted us from her usual spot in the foyer area. She was always sooooo happy to see Chica and would always talk to her and try to sneek her some food! Chica and I will miss seeing Rita's happy face.
My thoughts are with you!
Karen & Chica

Condolence From: Dana (Corradetti) Shields
Condolence: Memories of my Zia Rita's house.
Her infectious smile when she first sees you;
The many lunches and suppers that you ate too much at;
Having to eat the tomato soup if you wanted the pudding;
The peonies in her back yard;
The conversations during the many family visits;
Laughing so hard you cried;
Audrey, Alan and Stewart being friends as well as cousins;
Going to the public pool on summer days;
Cousins walking to the store with our change to get a treat;
Releasing the emergency brake on Dads station wagon and rolling down the driveway onto the road;
Watching the front hedges get bigger and fuller as the years went by;
Zia, you were always caring and interested on what was new;
Your home was always inviting and welcoming;
Thank you for being a BIG part of a great childhood and the "Village that raised us."

Condolence From: The Pitt family
Condolence: Audrey, Alan, Suzanne, Stewart, Joanna and all of Rita's grandchildren, we are so very saddened to hear of the passing of Rita. Rita was our neighbour for over 50 years and our family will remember her with much love. Rita was always authentic, loving and kind. She was always a great friend to my parents, Edna and Frank, and warmly welcomed us kids over to play with Audrey, Alan and Stewart. Rita often had us for a soup and a sandwich lunch when my Mum was working and would always give us lots of big hugs. We will forever remember her infectious laugh and her beautiful smile... and the way she made us feel special.
