Obituary for Sandra Elaine Down (Theobald)

Passed away peacefully at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in her 80th year. Predeceased by her loved husband David. Loved mother of Leigh-Anne Down-Lawson (Robert), Dwayne (Wendy) and Dwight (Cindy). Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Larissa, Haley, Brodie and the late Brittany (1995). Beloved sister of Karen Nault (the late Dan). Loved Aunt of Danette Coles (Mike) and Julie Riley (Eric) and their children; Bronte, Denver, Sara and Leisha, Much loved cousin of Pam Reid (Gord) and Vance McCue (Wendy). Sister-in-law of Arnold and Marnie Down. Loved aunt of Mary Gionet (Wayne) and William Down (Heather) and their children Andrew, Christopher, Leighton, Jardin, and Araleigh. Sandra was an R.N.A. at Kilean Lodge for 25 years. Sandra was a dedicated member of Trinity United Church. She belonged to many seniors clubs, and was well known for her love of cards and her family. Special thanks to Dr. Donald Smith and to the Staff of Kilean Lodge for their dedicated care and compassion. Thanks also to Grimsby's finest paramedics, firemen and the WLMH emergency crew. Visitation will be held at Trinity United Church, 100 Main Street West, Grimsby on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Queen's Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Trinity United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
