With family by his side, Jacques passed away at the Joseph Brant Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Gallagher) for 59 years. Dear brother of Solange of Trois-Rivières and Lisette of St-Jérôme. Cherished father of Jean (Annette) and Suzanne (Robert) Elich. Loving grandfather to David, Kevin, Sarah and Emilie. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A memorial Mass will take place at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave, Burlington on Friday, February 3 at 10:30 am. If you wish, your expression of sympathy can be made in the form of a donation in memory of Jacques to a charity of your choice. .
À l’hôpital Joseph Brant à Burlington, Ontario, entouré de sa famille, Jacques Bertrand est décédé le samedi 28 janvier, 2017 à l’âge de 91 ans. Époux de Sharon (née Gallagher) depuis 59 ans. Frère de Solange de Trois-Rivières et Lisette (Raymond Pichette) de St-Jérôme. Père de Jean (Annette) et Suzanne (Robert) Elich. Grand-père de David, Kevin, Sarah et Émilie. La famille accueillera parents et ami(e)s à la résidence funéraire SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, Burlington, Ontario (905-632-3333), le jeudi le 2 février de 15:00 à 17:00 et de 19:00 à 21:00. Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 3 février à 10:30 à l’église St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2016 Blairholm Ave, Burlington, Ontario. Un service commémoratif et l’inhumation auront lieu à Louiseville à une date ultérieure. Si vous le souhaitez, votre témoignage de sympathie peut se traduire par un don à la mémoire de Jacques à une œuvre caritative de votre choix.
