Obituary for James "Jim" McConnell
Passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Vera (nee Langmead). Loved father of Pat Robertson (Dave), Jim McConnell (Laura), Debbie Perry (Ken), Susan Perry (William), Cathy McConnell (Pat Haylock), Bob McConnell, and Donna McConnell (Henry Chaddock). Jim is lovingly remembered by his 21 grandchildren and their spouses, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Woods, and Maria and the Palliative care team at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions to The Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
