TORSNEY, Brian John (1958-2017)
Sadly, with family by his side, we announce the passing of Brian at the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 58. Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Forani) for 38 years. Cherished father to Amy (Aaron Culver), Kathleen (Matthew Ruckle) and Erin. Will be greatly missed by his grandson Malcolm. Loving son of Michael and Marie Torsney. Dear brother to Michelle (Steve Barrett), Paddy and Sean (Susie) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Will also be missed by extended family in Hamilton (John O'Gorman family) and Ireland. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm . A Memorial Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington will be held on Friday, January 20 at 11:00 am with reception to follow at the Burlington Golf and Country Club, 422 North Shore Blvd E, Burlington. For those who wish, donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation or to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation.
