Obituary for Norina Gattafoni (Rocchi)
Peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Hampton Terrace at the age of 101. Reunited with her late husband and love Vittorio “Vic” Gattafoni (1989). Beloved mother of Mary (Arnold), Frances (Albert), and Joseph (Late Marion). Proud “Nonni” of Colin, Christopher (Meaghan), Karen, Patrick, Laurie, Stefan and Katya. Great-Grandmother of Claire, Ryan, Alexander and Breckin. Norina is predeceased by her beloved son Henry (1944), her parents Mariano and Katerina, and her brothers and sister. Norina will be remembered for so many things, especially her dedication to family and loved ones.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Burlington on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions in memory of Norina to the McMaster Children's Hospital would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
