Condolence: Aunt Anu, Andrew and Evan and families,

I send my sympathy your way. Elizabeth sent an email notifying us of Uncle John's passing. I'm so appreciative that she did.
I'm glad I was able to reconnect with Uncle John in the fall of 2008. We had a very nice time together and we discussed our genealogy which was most interesting. He had a lot of good stories to tell me about the Stewart line. Plus he shared some of his pictures that I had never seen before of he and his father. He also showed me the family bible that had many dates of marriages and births.
I remember distinctly that at the very time of our visit he received a phone call from his stockbroker. It was at the time when the market was crashing. I could see in his eyes that this was causing him great concern and rightly so.
He treated my husband and me to a very fine dinner at one of his favorite steak restaurants. He insisted that I drink a bottle of Perrier which I'd never had before. He commented that it was very smooth and I definitely agreed. He and Anu treated us with great hospitality and we even stayed the night at their lovely home.
I will always have fond memories of our visit together. It makes me realize that it's important to stay in touch with relatives.
