Obituary for Jack Bremer

BREMER, Jacob “Jack”
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Shirley. Loving father of Lisa White (Bob) and Jason Bremer (Christine). Proud grandfather of Ryan. Cherished brother of Martha Vissers (Herb), Gertie deRoos (Jake), Hilda Fledderus (Ralph), brother-in-law of Anne Bremer and Ed Hayward (Doris). Predeceased by his parents Auke and Maaike Bremer as well as his brothers Gary (the late Jill), Murray, Jimmy and brother-in-law Henry. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family extends their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Stroke Unit 7 South at the Hamilton General Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to his wonderful neighbours and friends for their support over the years, Karen and the home support workers, Diana at Grimsby Medical Associates and to A.J. and staff at Orchardview Pharmacy. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated at Trinity United Church,100 Main St W, Grimsby on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack to McNally House would be greatly appreciated by the family.
