Condolence From: Frank Connell
Condolence: I first heard the name Hugh Roper in 2000 while working on a project for a wire manufacturing company in Quebec. The Engineer on the project was an American from Florida and lauded "Hugh Roper - The Guru of Grit". The ONLY engineer that US Steel Corporation trusted to set their high production equipment.
My Wife and I later joined the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club and during several haul outs I had the pleasure of sharing war stories with Hugh. The name Hugh Roper was well known across North America and he left a legacy in the descaling and surface preparation industry.
May he rest in peace.

Condolence: While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Hugh Roper, I can say this with certainty - he's a Father who raised wonderful children. Of the family that I am most familiar: Walter, James, and Robbie - their good character, in part, must also be a reflection of Mr. Hugh Roper' good character. That is a notable accomplishment, indeed.

Our deepest sympathy to all the grieving family.
