Obituary for David William Arnott

Surrounded by his loving family, David passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the age of 66. David will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife of 47 years Kathryn "Kitty" (nee McCaffrey). Loving father of Theresia (Jason), Carrie (Don) and Lori (Henk). David's joy was connecting with his grandchildren with jokes and humour that made many special memories. David was Pa to David, Megan, Kathryn, Lauren, Evan and Kristy. Son of the late Jessie and Sam Ricottone and Mary Arnott and the late Bob. Son in law of the late Jack and Theresia McCaffery. Brother to John Ricottone (Ada), Sal Ricottone (Pam), Lisa McGoldrick (Mike), Kelli Vieyra (Ben), Joe Ricottone (Julie), Nancy Lavesque (Claude) and Susan Cole (Mark). Brother in-law to John McCaffrey (Wendy) and Sharon Siemens (Gary). David was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #14421 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Special thanks to Dr. Ellis and his team at Juravinski Cancer Centre for all of your loving care. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Winona, on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Cancer Assistance Program (CAP), Jurvinski Cancer Centre or a Charity of your choice.
