Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Nicolo (1989). Loving and devoted mother of Sam and his wife Diane, and the late Josephine (2010). Cherished Nonna of Caitlin. Dear sister to Ignazia Montalbano (late Pasquale), Pina Ianni (Paolo), Vita Mangiapane (Frank), late Antonietta Fasullo (late Pasquale), Gina Capizzo ( (late Gaspare) and the late Francesca Ferrante (late Paolo). Caterina will be missed by her nieces Franca Ianni (Greg O'Brien), Linda Montalbano (Kevin Graff), Anna Montalbano and nephews Paul Ianni, Vito Mangiapane (Nella), Joseph Mangiapane (Franca), Joe Fasullo (Franca) and Salvatore Capizzo. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Italy. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington. Reception to follow the entombment at Holy Sepulchre. For those who wish memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
