DOUGLAS, George Arthur (1929-2016)
Passed away on October 21, 2016, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Gloria Johanne (nee Cockerill) for 63 years. Cherished father of Johanne Douglas (John Friend), John Douglas (Candy), Heather Lauria (Tony), Mark Douglas (Gail) and Wendy Douglas (Bruce Barker). Loving grandfather to Jennifer Brown (Denton), Jordie Douglas and Alexandra Lauria-Parnis (Matthew). Dear great grandfather of August, Kyle, Elyssa, Haven and Sebastian. Will be greatly missed by his sister Jean Wiley. Predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth (nee Mason) Douglas and by his brother Jack Douglas. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of George's life will be held at Wasaga Beach Community Presbyterian Church, 208 Mosley Street, on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Donations will be gratefully accepted by the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, P.O. Box 1414 Barrie Ontario L4M 5R4. Website: http://www.alzheimer.ca/simcoecounty
