Obituary for Aldine David Zehr

Aldine David  Zehr
ZEHR, Aldine “Al” David -

Passed away peacefully, in his 89th year, at The Village of Tansley Woods LTC, on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 with his family around him. He leaves his loving wife, Dorothy, who will miss him so very much. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Jeffery in 1978. He will be sadly missed by his three cherished children, Judy Hovi (Bill), David Zehr and Christine Zehr (Sharon). He also has a loving, caring step-family, Peter Vaughan (Barbara), Bill Vaughan (Mary Ann) and predeceased by Jim Vaughan. His grandchildren will have happy memories, Jonathan Hovi (Erin) and Matthew Hovi (Mike). His step-grandchildren will also remember his concern and kindness, Jeff Vaughan (Elaine), Kate Vaughan (Nicole), Jennifer Norman (Corey), Kristy Obrovac (John), Michelle Vaughan and Heather Vaughan (Rich). His great grandchildren will share fond memories of him as well; Chloe Vaughan, Harley Vaughan, Oliver Chimera-Vaughan, Emily Obrovac, Adele Obrovac, Clayton Norman and Halle Norman. His brother, Delmer Zehr (Helen) will mourn his passing, as well as his brother-in-law Allan Jeffery (Phyllis) and sister-in-law Olive Schoenhals (Gordon). Al has many relatives and friends in the Kitchener/Stratford area. Private Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 12 noon until the time of Service of Remembrance beginning at 1:00pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Memorial donations to Grace Lutheran Church in Hamilton, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
