Obituary for Evelyn Young
Peacefully with her family by her side at Juravinksi Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the age of 85. This loving mother will be dearly missed by her daughters Cathy (Rick) Cullis, Pauline Young ,Sharon (Bob) McLeay and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Davis. Cherished grandmother of David, Michael, Jamie, Jason, Shane, Adam, Lucinda, Angell, Ben, Natalie, Kevin, Will, Theresa and Nicole as well as 21 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her sister Delma (Mike) Ketter and brother Norman (Claudette) Fortier. She is predeceased by her son William Smith (1999) and siblings Edward, Frances, Laurier, Anita, Joseph and Donat. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 7-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant St. (at Blairholm), Burlington on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:30a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
