Peacefully, in Grimsby, after a valiant 1 ½ year battle with cancer, with his family by his side on Friday, November 6, 2009 in his 61st year. Devoted husband of Sandra George and loving father of Ben and Jessica. Gordon will be dearly missed by his family, father Ivan (Patricia), mother Doris, brother Brian (Jane), parents-in-law Gail and Ted, siblings-in-law Wendy (Ed), Steve (Jill), Shelley (Kevin), and nieces and nephews Andrew (Lauren), Jennifer, Peter (Sandy), Robyn, Corey, Kevin, Ronnie, Nichole, Riley and Emma. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church. 10 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to McNally House, or Juravinski Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
